The conference takes place at the Sheraton Westport Lakeside Chalet, a lakeside setting that offers a calm, welcoming atmosphere with plenty of space to connect, learn, and recharge. AAIM team members will be on-site throughout the morning to help guide check-in and get you settled quickly and easily.
On-site parking is available at the hotel for conference attendees. We recommend arriving a bit early to allow time for parking, check-in, and enjoying breakfast before the program begins.
This conference is designed for leaders at every level — from first-time managers to senior executives — as well as HR professionals who support and develop leaders across the organization.
You’ll get the most out of the day if you:
Business casual is the norm for the day.
We recommend dressing in layers, as room temperatures can vary — especially for those who tend to get cold. Comfortable attire will help you stay focused on the conversations, not the thermostat.
The day is thoughtfully paced to balance meaningful content with connection and fun. You’ll start with breakfast and engaging keynote sessions, move through practical breakouts and networking breaks, and enjoy shared meals along the way. Built-in moments for conversation, laughter, and light activity keep the experience energizing without feeling rushed, with a closing keynote that sends you home with clarity and momentum.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided onsite.
When you register and select your breakout sessions, you’ll also have the opportunity to share:
Networking at the Leadership Conference is designed to be natural, fun, and low-pressure.
We build icebreakers and light activities into the day, making it easy to connect with others without forced introductions or uncomfortable moments. Whether you come with a team or attend solo, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to meet people who care about the same challenges you’re navigating.
Connections happen organically — during sessions, breaks, meals, and shared experiences throughout the day.
This wouldn’t be an AAIM event without moments of energy and enjoyment woven throughout the day. You can expect interactive elements, a few surprises, and plenty of opportunities to laugh and connect along the way. The experience is designed to feel engaging and human — purposeful, well-run, and enjoyable from start to finish.
As the day comes to a close, the Hospitality Social Hour offers a relaxed space to keep the conversation going. It’s a time to reconnect with people you met during sessions, share insights from the day, and enjoy a lighter, social atmosphere before heading out. There’s no agenda — just an easy, comfortable way to end a meaningful day.
You don’t have to capture everything in the moment.
Select session materials and post-event resources will be shared after the conference, so you can revisit key ideas, reflect, and take action back at work. The goal is not just inspiration — it’s practical value you can actually use.
Private space is available for nursing mothers or anyone who may need a quiet, private area during the day.
If this would be helpful for you, please let us know in advance or speak with an AAIM team member on-site. We’re happy to accommodate.
