Illinois Gov. Pritzker Signs Historic Legislation Guaranteeing 40 Hours of Paid Leave!  Are you Ready?

Governor JB Pritzker in March 2023 signed SB208 into law, making Illinois the third state in the nation, and the first in the Midwest, to mandate paid time off to be used for any reason. This historic legislation Paid Leave provides employees with up to 40 hours of paid leave during a 12-month period starting on January 1, 2024.

Almost every organization will need to consider the impact this law will have on their current HR policies and practices.
