This course offers an introduction and review to the legal and regulatory compliance issues that persons in human resources or supervisory positions deal with on a day-to-day basis. The roles that HR can play within an organization will be explored.
At the end of this course, attendees will better understand:
• The various roles of HR in the organization & their functions
• How to interpret the culture HR within your organization
• Employment at will
• Various Federal Employment Laws (ADA, FLSA, COBRA, FMLA, OSHA)
• State specific employment laws
