Compensation programs are a critical aspect of all human resource strategies impacting the ability of an organization to attract and retain key talent. This course will provide an in-depth overview of all the elements of designing and administering an effective compensation program. This 2-hour session will focus on the mechanics of compensation program design, including the establishment of a compensation strategy, importance of job descriptions, use of external market data, pay structure design and implementation strategies.
Key Learning Outcomes:
- Develop a better understanding of the key aspects of a sound compensation program focusing on compensation strategy design, external market decisions, internal equity considerations, employee pay decisions and legislative requirements.
- Thorough understanding of the “mechanics” of auditing and developing market-based pay structures and how best to correct internal employee pay compression as part of program implementation strategies.
