Roundtables: Adverse Action Decisions, How Do You Draw the Line?Oct 13–21 · A partner attorney joins every session+
Background checks are easy. Deciding what to do with what you find is where it gets hard. A candidate's check comes back with a 10-year-old conviction, an unexplained gap in employment, or a record that technically disqualifies them but doesn't feel disqualifying. Now what? Every organization draws that line a little differently, and this is your chance to compare notes with HR peers making the same calls.
Each session is joined by a partner attorney who brings local legal perspective into the room, because when it comes to adverse action, the answer really does depend on your state. Expect real-world scenarios and open discussion. Come ready to share how your organization handles the tough calls, and leave knowing where your process holds up and where it could use a second look.

People bring more into work than shows up on a performance review. This roundtable explores how HR and leaders can create a supportive, psychologically safe workplace while still maintaining clear expectations, appropriate boundaries and accountability. We’ll look at how significant stress or trauma can show up through changes in communication, performance, behavior, conflict and responses to feedback, and how leaders can respond thoughtfully without making assumptions.
Much of the session is peer-to-peer discussion built around realistic HR scenarios. Led by Michelle Attia, MHRM, SPHR, CTSS, Founder and Principal of Axisara Group, whose work focuses on psychological safety, trauma-informed workplace practices and accountability.

Engagement is collapsing at the manager level, and it's hitting younger managers hardest. Add a five-generation workforce, a performance management process nobody trusts, and AI hype that hasn't delivered, and you have a perfect storm sitting on your org chart. This session unpacks why managers under 35 are burning out faster than any other group, breaks down the latest Gallup and Deloitte data, busts a few generational myths along the way, and leaves you with practical moves to support the managers stuck in the middle.
Member-only, and free for anyone at your organization.
