Course Overview

Accounting for the Non-Accountant

Four 2 hour Sessions Live Online

Complete and accurate financial records are the pulse of successful organizations.   In this course, participants will learn the business financial numbers/ drivers of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements and the relationship between them through building a lemonade stand business and creating the financial statements for that business. These course exercises are based on the book “The Accounting Game: Basic Accounting Fresh from the Lemonade Stand” by Darrell Mullis and Judith Orloff.

At the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Understand the financial numbers/drivers of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements including, but not limited to
    • Assets
    • Liabilities
    • Equity
    • Revenue/Sales
    • Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)
    • Expenses
    • Taxes
  • Turn raw data into useful information

This is a series course and includes the book “The Accounting Game: Basic Accounting Fresh from the Lemonade Stand.”  THEREFORE, registration for this event will be closed one week prior to the start date.
