Learning the basics of Managing Safety involves taking numerous steps to ensure the health and safety of an organization’s workforce, but what are the most important steps to know and learn? AAIM now offers a Safety Manager Certification which provides a comprehensive overview of the basics that all Safety Managers should know and understand in their role. This course satisfies one of the required training requirements for the AAIM Safety Manager Certification. This course is also available to anyone who wishes to learn more about this particular subject for mitigating hazards, avoiding OSHA fines, and improving overall safety for organizations of any type, regardless of whether they are pursuing the AAIM Safety Manager Certification or not.
This course will cover OSHA requirements for emergency action and fire protection plans. We will discuss the applicable OSHA standards, the purpose of the standards, what is required for both emergency action and fire prevention plans, and elements of an emergency evacuation.
