For the past two decades or more, LEAN, Six Sigma and other process improvement initiatives have been successfully implemented in production areas to improve yield, reduce cycle time and save cost. However, since 60 to 80 percent of all costs related to meeting customer demands results from administrative or management support functions, there remains a largely untapped potential for productivity improvement in non-production areas of the enterprise. In this class, participants will learn how to apply the basic tools and techniques of process improvement to streamline and eliminate waste from office processes to achieve bottom-line savings.
