Daring leaders know how to have hard conversations, hold themselves and others accountable, lead with empathy and connection, take smart risks that lead to innovation, build trust, reset quickly after disappointments and setbacks, and give and receive feedback – even when it’s tough. Especially when it’s tough.
Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead is an empirically based courage-building program designed to be facilitated by organizational development professionals. Courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. Each of the four skill sets are explored and there is an opportunity for participants to relate the skill sets to their leadership.
Session 1: Brave Leaders and Courageous Cultures – The first in a series of six workshops, this session builds the foundation for the courageous learning journey. In this session participants will be exposed to research and content of Dare to Lead. We will spend time understanding the teachable, measurable, observable courage building skills required of Daring Leaders. This is a foundational session and will create a baseline for the additional sessions where we’ll learn how to combat shame and learn the tools to transform leaders and organizations. As a Certified Dare to Lead Facilitator, Andrea Nelson teaches and guides participants in developing these courage-building skills in 4 Hour Workshops.
